With the All-Star Game over, the Kansas City Royals are just playing a waiting game until Friday. To pass the time, let’s take a look at the Royals’ five most memorable games prior to the break.

The Kansas City Royals have played some great games this year. Although it hasn’t been nearly as crazy as last season was, the boys in blue have managed to give us plenty to cheer about in 2016 and have had some pretty wild victories.

What have been the best games at this point in the season? Let’s take a look.

Fifth Best Game So Far in 2016

July 2nd: Kansas City 6 Philadelphia 2

Danny Duffy has been one of the biggest and most pleasant surprises for the Royals this season, and he put together his best performance in Philadelphia in early July when he dominated the Phillies.

Duffy went a career high eight and 2/3 innings immediately after tossing eight solid frames his previous start against the Cardinals. The southpaw allowed just two runs on seven hits, and struck out eight batters without a walk.

Having started the season in the bullpen, no one could have predicted Danny Duffy’s masterful performance over the first half of the season. One thing’s for sure though; he’s become one of the most important pieces for this team for the second half.
