The KC Chiefs have seen a big return on their 2015 draft, but how have they fared with the 2014 picks?

The KC Chiefs and John Dorsey have done a good job at developing young talent and getting those players into action early and often. The 2015 draft picks have already paid dividends for the Chiefs with Marcus Peters playing up to his potential and perhaps even exceeding expectations.

Solid play from Center, Mitch Morse, and a late flourish by rookie wide receiver Chris Conley earned the Chiefs an ‘A’ grade so far. If players like Ramik Wilson and D.J. Alexander develop into starters, and Chris Conley realizes his full potential, then the 2015 draft may be one of the KC Chiefs‘ best draft classes in a long time.

2014 was a little bit of a different animal. Draft picks in 2014 have yet to earn regular playing time and there are still a lot of unknowns. There have been some glimpses of the talent that was selected and so far, the future looks bright for a few of the draft picks from 2014.

While the draft picks may not have panned out so far, John Dorsey hit big on some free-agent rookies who were overlooked in the draft. Let’s take a look at each pick and each free-agent and grade their contributions so far.
