5- PLAY FOR 40 MINUTES: Kansas has yet hit the court mentally prepared enough to play hard for 40 minutes. Part of this is due to an extremely young team. As the youngsters become accustomed to the atmosphere of every conference game, hopefully they will more fully understand the importance of being focused for each and every game.

Bill Self and his staff will have their work cut out for them. When the Jayhawks are focused and into the game, they look pretty darn good, but their intensity ebbs and flows, as it will do with a bunch of kids under 21 years old.

Kansas is deep enough they should just be playing at 100% every second they are on the court. They could bury opponents with just sheer numbers if a fierce intensity could be maintained for a full game. There has been very little indication this particular group of players will be able to reach this very difficult goal.
