2015 NFL Draft: KC Chiefs WR Scouting Report Central
The KC Chiefs have the 18th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and have several positions they need to upgrade. Wide receiver is certainly one of those positions and the Chiefs have every opportunity to add a few receivers through the draft.
The Chiefs experienced a decent season in 2014, going 9-7 and barely missing out on the playoffs. Along the way, the Chiefs were able to destroy the eventual Super Bowl champion New England Patriots and also defeated the Seattle Seahawks, who were the losers in the big game.
Despite the nine wins, the KC Chiefs struggled with their wide receivers, as not one of them were able to haul in a single touchdown reception in 2014. The Chiefs more than likely will draft several wide receivers in the 2015 NFL Draft, but will they take one in the first round?

The Chiefs have made strides to improve at the receiver position by adding Jeremy Maclin from Philadelphia and re signing Jason Avant. Kansas City also has Junior Hemingway, De’Anthony Thomas, and Albert Wilson at the receiver position.
In order to make room for some of the new Chiefs, the team had to let go of some of their receivers, such as Donnie Avery, Dwayne Bowe, and A.J. Jenkins. Will the Kansas City Chiefs elect to spend their first round pick on a wide receiver in the 2015 NFL Draft?
Last year, the Chiefs missed out on some great young wide receivers in the draft, and they absolutely can’t (and won’t) make that same mistake in 2015. With guys like Amari Cooper, Kevin White, and DeVante Parker on the board in the first round, will it be tough for Kansas City to go in another direction?
If the Chiefs decide to draft a wide receiver in one of the middle rounds, maybe they’ll lock down Kansas State’s Tyler Lockett or Miami’s Phillip Dorsett.
Over the next few weeks leading up to the 2015 NFL Draft, KC Kingdom will be covering some of the best wide receivers available in this year’s draft. All of the wide receiver scouting reports will be posted in this article so that you can keep up or in case you miss one.
It should be noted that I’m aware the Kansas City Chiefs won’t be able to nab some of these guys, but it doesn’t hurt to cover that player in case the team somehow does acquire him.
