The Kansas City Chiefs have a lot to address in free agency, most of the action occurring on the defensive side of the ball.

If the Chiefs opt to sign the majority of their defensive free agents, then they can use the 2016 NFL Draft to bring in more offensive players. That was basically the way this draft was put together, as we’ll be tackling different themed mock drafts all offseason long.

Selecting an offensive lineman in the first round would actually make sense for Kansas City, as its been an area of weakness for the past two seasons. Selecting a wide receiver early on would make sense as well.

The reason the Chiefs went with a tight end in the second round was due to the fact that Hunter Henry is the best tight end in the draft, and that pick was an absolute steal. He’d do well in Chiefs Kingdom.

As for the defensive picks, the Chiefs picked up a defensive tackle, a safety, and an inside linebacker, all of whom could be put into starting roles in the next few years.
