If you want to win a Super Bowl in your career, there may be no better franchise to play for than the Kansas City Chiefs right now.
The Chiefs are aiming for their third straight championship as they prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. With Andy Reid and Travis Kelce squashing retirement rumors and the presence of Patrick Mahomes for the next decade, it would be a perfect spot for a disgruntled player to go to chase that elusive championship ring.
With Myles Garrett voicing his desire to be traded in order to win a Super Bowl, others could follow suit with the Chiefs as a preferred destination. But in the case of one star edge rusher, there’s no way we’ll be seeing him in Kansas City red anytime soon.
Raiders Star Maxx Crosby Shoots Down Chiefs as a Potential Trade Destination
Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby addressed his future in an interview with FanDuel’s Kay Adams at the Super Bowl on Thursday morning and said he was taking things “one day at a time.” But while he kept open the possibility of being traded, he also ruled out the possibility of playing for the Chiefs to chase a championship.
“I don’t want to join the damn Chiefs and get a Super Bowl,” Crosby said during his appearance on Up And Adams. “That would mean absolutely nothing to me.”

Crosby has a right to feel this way as one of the Chiefs’ biggest rivals. The 27-year-old has become one of the bright spots for the Raiders as a four-time Pro Bowler but that hasn’t translated to winning with Las Vegas making the playoffs once during his six seasons in the league.
Even then, Crosby said he feels optimistic about the Raiders’ direction under new head coach Pete Carroll but also wants to win a Super Bowl before his career is done.
“I’ve been having those conversations and continue to have that as far as what’s the plan moving forward, because I have one body and I can only play for so long,” Crosby explained. “And the way I play…I play with reckless abandon. …So I’m not going to play forever. I want an opportunity to win. That’s all that matters to me. I do believe in what we’re doing so far and what I’ve heard and what I’ve seen and I’m going to continue taking it one step at a time.”
With a 2-10 record against Kansas City, Crosby has yet to find success against Mahomes in his career. But while he can’t beat the Chiefs, it doesn’t appear he’ll be on the verge of joining them.
