Rashee Rice's ongoing legal trouble is the biggest storyline surrounding the Chiefs as we approach the 2024 NFL Draft in less than a week.

While he's dealing with both criminal charges and civil lawsuits, Rice is still part of Kansas City's offseason training program as the investigations come to a conclusion.

In a new video released on Wednesday afternoon, Rice was spotted working out with three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes in Texas, as many receivers have done throughout the last few weeks.

It's logical that Rice would be training with Mahomes. The duo both originate from Texas and Mahomes has a documented history of working out with receivers during the offseason.

We don't yet know what will happen with Rice or what punishment he may eventually receive from the NFL or Chiefs, so the tandem should continue staying comfortable as the legal process plays out.

Rice became one of the NFL's most promising rookie receivers in 2023, emerging as a viable weapon for the eventual Super Bowl champions en route to nearly 1,000 receiving yards. Kansas City signed speedster Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown to complement Rice and Travis Kelce, though the investigation obviously complicates matters.

For now, the Chiefs must continue business as usual to prepare for the upcoming season. The organization has a rare chance to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, and it remains possible that Rice faces limited punishment.

We'll see what comes of the legal trouble and will continue to update you as more information becomes available.
