The Chiefs are in need of a win against the Raiders this Sunday after a disappointing loss to the Eagles on Monday Night Football, but at least three key contributors won't be on the field for Kansas City.

In a stunning turn of events, two wide receivers, both of whom serve as critical factors on special teams, as well as Jerick McKinnon, have been ruled out of the game due to injuries.

Well, that's not ideal.

Mecole Hardman was placed on the Injured Reserve list and will miss at least four games, while Kadarius Toney and Jerick McKinnon will miss this game but were not designated to the Injured Reserve list.

The Chiefs elevated La'Mical Perine and Montrell Washington from the practice squad and Richie James is expected to serve as the return man in special teams.

For a struggling offense, this is not ideal news. It's an opportunity for James, Perine, and Washington to earn more playing time, though I expect the Chiefs to heavily lean upon Isiah Pacheco, Travis Kelce, and Rashee Rice this Sunday.

We'll see what comes of the sudden injuries, though it's certainly a downgrade to Kansas City's offense in the short-term.
