Just when it looked like the Chiefs were completely healthy heading into the Divisional Round, reports leaked Saturday morning that Charles Omenihu and Willie Gay Jr. are both questionable to play with an illness, while Kadarius Toney is out.

Toney was never a lock to play, so his absence isn't overly surprising. However, Omenihu and Gay Jr. have both been stalwarts for this defense and their new injury designation comes as a big surprise.

Chiefs Injury News: Charles Omenihu and Willie Gay Jr. Both Questionable

The biggest advantage the Chiefs have over the Bills is health, as Buffalo is dealing with a long list of injuries and on short rest following the Wild Card round.

Any Kansas City injury that chips away at that advantage is a bad thing overall, and it's particularly crucial that Omenihu and Gay Jr. are the two players who might now miss the playoff contest.

Omenihu has 6.5 sacks over his last seven games as a dominant force, while Gay Jr. was vocal about knowing these could be his final days in a Chiefs uniform.

It remains to be seen if those two players can suit up, but this is not the news Chiefs Kingdom wanted to hear just a day before the biggest game of the year.

UPDATE: Both Chiefs Expected to Play
