3 Chiefs Who MUST Get More Playing Time to Crush Packers in Week 13
By Joe Summers
The Chiefs are solid road favorites over the Packers on Sunday Night Football in NFL Week 13 with the opportunity to wrestle control back of the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Vibes are high in Kansas City after an impressive comeback win over the Raiders, but the organization must stay focused in order to beat a promising young Green Bay squad.
Here are three players that need more playing time to crush the Packers:
3 Chiefs Who MUST Get More Playing Time
1. Rashee Rice - WR
I mean, we all know this right?
Rice finally had his breakout performance in the Week 12 win, hauling in eight of 10 targets for 107 yards and a 39-yard TD. He's looked like Kansas City's best receiver for weeks, but this was the first time the offense truly leaned into the star rookie.
He's yet to eclipse 70% of the snaps, though he's come close in two of his last three games. I want the Chiefs to keep feeding Rice the ball, and I'm hoping he's on the field as much as possible.
Per Pro Football Focus, the Packers run zone coverage at a top 10 rate in the league. Rice now has 418 receiving yards against zone, generating 3.08 yards per route run.
He already looks like a rising star. As we enter a critical portion of the season with a chance to claim the AFC's No. 1 seed, Andy Reid needs to fully unleash Rasheesh.
Rice isn't the only player who needs more time, though before we get to the next page, make sure you've claimed DraftKings Sportsbook's INSTANT $150 bonus today!
