AFC Playoff Picture: How Chiefs Can Reclaim No. 1 Seed in Week 13
By Joe Summers
Just like that, the Chiefs once again control their destiny in the AFC playoff race.
Despite falling to the Broncos and Eagles in recent weeks, Kansas City can cement the No. 1 seed in the AFC by winning the rest of their games.
In fact, the Chiefs can emerge atop the AFC as soon as this week. If we beat the Packers, we're back in first.

If the Chiefs beat the Packers on Sunday, they will reclaim the No. 1 seed in the AFC over the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens are on a bye this week, with one more win than the Chiefs. However, Baltimore crucially has three AFC losses while Kansas City only has one. These two teams won't play each other in the regular season, so the primary tiebreaker is conference losses.
Given the Chiefs only have one AFC loss, they'll finish ahead of the Ravens if they have the same record of the end of the season.
It's no easy task, but Kansas City controls its destiny. The Chiefs hosted each of the last five AFC Championship games and are in line to do so once again, continuing the golden era of Chiefs football.
Here's hoping this year ends with another Super Bowl title.
