The Kansas City Chiefs control their own destiny for the remainder of the short season after beating the L.A. Chargers on Saturday night.
In front of a loud and raucous crowd the Kansas City Chiefs took care of business against the L.A. Chargers. Thanks in large part to the defensive play we have expected and grown to know and love. The Chiefs now have sole possession of 1st place in the AFC West once again and hold the tie breaker with the 2nd place Chargers.
Marcus Peters is the reason for the season as he came up huge in his first game back from suspension. If you are celebrating this win like I am, Peters is the reason. He had an interception returned deep, a pick to put the game away, and his signature strip fumble that was recovered by Ron Parker, who also had a pick.
Philip Rivers continues to suck against the Chiefs. This is the 8th straight time that Kansas City has beaten him. Why on earth would Vegas or anyone else pick the Chargers to beat the Chiefs on a Saturday night at home? Dumb.

It’s a great time for the Chiefs to find their identity and return to their early season play. Tyreek Hill is faster than you and everyone else who wears a football uniform. Kareem Hunt was DOMINANT gaining over 200 yards of scrimmage and scoring two touchdowns.
The guys had fun out there tonight, which is so important to a team that struggled during the middle part of the season. Eric Berry was back on the sidelines which seems to make this team click.
More to come
One more win by the Chiefs and they are playoff bound. There’s such a good chance that they can finish the last quarter of the season 4-0, and enter the playoffs as one of the hottest and most dangerous teams playing.
Bob Sutton seems to have the defense going once again, and Eric Berry is his secret ingredient. He is the most valuable player in the NFL from the sidelines, no doubt.
