Mizzou Basketball: Best head coaches of all-time for Missouri

Despite some recent struggles for Mizzou basketball, this is a proud program and one that hopes to get back on track under current head coach Cuonzo Martin.
The Kim Anderson era was rough for Missouri Tigers fans, but the hope is obviously for MU to become a legitimate threat in college hoops. They had a nice run with Norm Stewart, Quin Snyder, and Mike Anderson, but wins have been hard to come by for Missouri over the last few years.

Martin’s recruiting skills have already turned the program around in less than a season at the helm. The Tigers are no longer a laughing stock in college basketball and very well could make it into the NCAA Tournament come March.
I did not include Frank Haith despite his success at the University of Missouri because of how much he screwed the program over. Haith led the Tigers to tournament appearances and his team had even earned a two-seed in 2012. We all know how that ended however (curse you, Norfolk State!).
It’d be great to add Cuonzo Martin to this list of greatest MU basketball coaches, but we won’t know until several years down the road. It’ll take a long time before anyone tops what Norm Stewart was able to do for this program though.

If Martin wins a National Championship, however, then he’d absolutely be considered one of the best ever because no Missouri head coach has been able to get to that point yet. Hopefully that will all change in the coming years.
