Scott Frost is coming back to Nebraska Football. This time he will lead the Cornhuskers from the sideline, as he agrees to be their next head coach.

It’s official! Nebraska fans rejoice! Nebraska football has brought on Scott Frost to lead their program. The deal is good for seven years $35 million, according to Brent McMurphy. The news broke on Saturday afternoon and Huskers fans have to be ecstatic!

This was what Nebraska fans wanted. They wanted someone who was familiar with the history of Nebraska football and had the ability to turn this program back into a true football powerhouse.

That’s been hard to come by since Frank Solich was run out of town way back when, but it appears the Cornhuskers are determined to get the train back on the tracks. That’s all the fans want is to be relevant again (at least at first… Legitimate runs at a National Championship will come in the next few years).

The initial news of the agreement broke last week, but nothing was confirmed. Frost was coaching his UCF Knights in a big game against South Florida and most college football fans figured if anything were to happen, it’d be announced after the Knight’s AAC Championship game on Saturday versus Memphis.

Frost ended up leading his team to a perfect 12-0 regular season, but it wasn’t all smiles and sunshine for him while in Orlando. The Knights went winless in Frost’s first year, but the former Husker turned that program around within two years. He’s the perfect man for the job in Lincoln and obviously fans are hoping this move gets the program back to what it once was: a legitimate powerhouse in college football.

Nebraska had a rough season in 2017, going 4-8 on the year and missing out on bowl eligibility. The Huskers looked like a broken team this year and got absolutely destroyed in their final three games of the year. At times, it really looked like the players had quit.

Mike Riley wasn’t the solution for Nebraska football, but Scott Frost hopefully is the solution. Fans have been buzzing about the former Huskers quarterback coming back home for months now and it only made sense that Frost would want to return to the place that made him famous.

While success won’t happen right away, the Nebraska Cornhuskers will be turning the corner here pretty soon. They should be able to contend in the Big Ten for years to come now.

Scott Frost is coming home, Big Red! HUSKER POWER!!!!
