It’s an exciting time to be a Kansas City Chiefs fan. They have the second seed and will be hosting their first playoff game in six years. This time, however, the Chiefs have a chance to advance and do damage in the postseason.

More from KC Kingdom

The most likely match-up for the Chiefs in the Divisional Round of the playoffs is against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers handed Kansas City their worst loss of the 2016 season, but don’t count on that happening again this time around.

Should that be the match-up and the Chiefs win, they’d advance to their first AFC Championship Game since 1994 when Joe Montana was the quarterback in Kansas City. Their destination would be Foxborough, where they’d have a date with the New England Patriots.

The Patriots have dominated the AFC ever since Tom Brady emerged from nowhere and took the reigns at quarterback. Bill Belichick is also a freakin’ genius, man. They’re a scary duo and there aren’t four rings in New England without those two guys.

Playing the Steelers and Patriots might sound scary, but I think the KC Chiefs are up to the task. This is their year to make it to the Super Bowl and they’ll have to go through two of the scariest teams in the AFC to get there.

Buckle in, Chiefs Kingdom. This is going to be a fun postseason in Kansas City!
