Bad: Offense

Out of the 24 points scored by the KC Chiefs on Sunday, only ten of them were in thanks to the offense. The other 14 were put on the scoreboard because of DJ’s pick-six and Harris’ fumble recovery for a score.

In 12 quarters of football thus far, the Chiefs have scored four touchdowns (five if you count the one in overtime, but that’d be in 13 quarters), which is not good. Their defense definitely kept them in this game, but the offense is going to have to step up if this team wants to contend for a Super Bowl in 2016.

The offense looked decent early on, with Travis Kelce grabbing his first touchdown of the season, and Spencer Ware carrying the ball well. The second half was not so good though, with the team failing to punch the football into the end zone.

As I mentioned earlier, the defense helped propel the Chiefs to victory in this game, but it won’t always be that way. When the Chiefs travel to Pittsburgh next week, the offense will have to get something done against that Steelers defense or else it could be a long night on Sunday Night Football.
