There are other wineries in the area, like Martin Brothers to the south of Hermann, and others in the New haven and Washington areas but they aren’t on the trail, and we haven’t visited these. They may be good enough to make this list, so don’t hesitate to visit if you have the time.

There are five official themed trails throughout the year. It costs $30 per person, and includes a wine glass, and themed food and paired wine at each stop on the trail.

For those on the trail, most of the wineries won’t charge a tasting fee.

Be careful, though. During all other times of the year, most of these places will charge a tasting fee, so be prepared for that expense, especially if you plan to make several stops.

This is a fairly recent development, and it might be best if they avoided this greedy pitfall.

Regardless, taking a wine trail weekend, with a stay at one of the many bed and breakfasts in the area, is a terrific getaway.

Because Hermann is such a short drive from Kansas City, you can be out of town without going very far, which cuts down the time commitment.

If you love wine, do yourself a favor and visit the Hermann Missouri wineries. Stock up and leave room in the car for all of your purchases!
