Today’s Kansas City Chiefs news focuses on the NFL’s recent denial of the Chiefs appeal of their tampering penalties.

The Kansas City Chiefs were no match for Roger Goodell’s ego.

There was no way that he was going to admit he made a mistake, yet many, like myself, believed that just maybe he would give back the Kansas City Chiefs 2016 third round pick.

Unfortunately, this was not the case.

On the afternoon of April 18th, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star broke the frustrating news via Twitter.

It looks as though the Kansas City Chiefs third round pick is lost forever, but this is little reason to lose hope for the Kansas City Chiefs.

If there is anything the Kansas City Chiefs can learn from the Los Angeles Rams is to count your blessings and your draft picks.

If one third round pick is the price to pay for an awesome wide receiver in Jeremy Maclin, then so be it.

It looks as though the Kansas City Chiefs appear unfazed by their tampering penalty in this particular mock draft.

Also, Eric Berry looks to have entered negotiation mode due to his absence from voluntary OTA’s.

Initial reports have said negotiations would go smoothly, so hopefully this is just standard NFL contract etiquette.

The Kansas City Chiefs 2016 third round pick nor their 2017 sixth round pick were returned.

Despite this, Paylor also reported that fines from initial ruling would be lessened.

John Dorsey should be able to have a productive 2016 draft, but having that third round pick would have been nice.
