KC Royals news consists of Opening Night being just days away, and how excited fans are for the beginning of the 2016 regular season.

Get hyped, Royals fans! Opening Night is this Sunday night, and things kick off right here in Kansas City at good ol’ Kauffman Stadium.

The Kansas City Royals will square off against the same team that they beat in the World Series just five months ago, in the New York Mets. While drama has unfolded this week with the word that the Royals might “retaliate” against the Mets.

This circulated due to the drama during the World Series when Noah Syndergaard threw at Alcides Escobar. He later told Salvador Perez that it wasn’t on purpose, but then talked a big game afterwards saying they could meet him 60 feet away.

Hopefully all of that is just child’s play and we don’t have to hear about this anymore.

While the KC Royals did garner some disrespect in the projections and whatnot, a lot of analysts are giving the team a lot of credit. In fact, a good chunk of reporters and people involved in Major League Baseball feel like the Royals will at least be back in the playoffs in 2016.

Going to the playoffs is nice, but we all know that the Kansas City Royals are looking a third straight World Series appearance and a second straight title.
