Survivor Kaoh Rong: 3 Key Scot Pollard Moments in Week 7
Episode seven of Survivor Kaoh Rong aired on Wednesday night, and former KU Basketball alum Scot Pollard lived to see another day on the hit reality TV show.
The merge is here, my friends!
Gondol and Chan Lo merged into one tribe (the Dara tribe, which we got no explanation as to why they named it that) and it instantly seemed apparent that the former brawn tribe had targets on all of their backs.
The episode began, however, with Scot laying into Aubry and Joe for trying to vote for Julia. He made it clear that if they lost the next challenge, he’d be writing one of their names down.
Instead, the tribes merged, and Aubry and Joe were saved by the bell. They now were reunited with their former brains teammates Debbie and Neal, and Scot was reunited with his former team in Cydney and Jason.
Here are three key moments from Scot Pollard on episode seven of Survivor Kaoh Rong.
Key Moment #1: Laying into Aubry and Joe
After Peter went home (with the help of Aubry flipping last second), Scot was really upset with the two former brains tribe members. He really let them have it because he thought it selfish of them to vote for Julia when they knew that Peter was bad news.
This was a key moment because Scot didn’t know the merge was coming and thought he had control over the tribe. When the teams merged literally the next day, Aubry and Joe were able to run right back to their old brains connections, and Scot pretty much put a target on his back for trying to make them look bad.
Key Moment #2: Telling Nick that Tai had the hidden immunity idol

Without even having to do anything, Nick somehow got both people from the old brains tribe and the old brawn tribe to trust him. Scot and Jason trusted him so much that they took him aside right away, and Scot even told him about Tai having the hidden immunity idol!
Now, it seemed to be put on the back burner that Tai had one because the main storyline was Neal’s idol, but still. Tai wasn’t even around when Scot told Nick, and Nick was on the fence about joining forces with the brawn tribe to begin with. Scot really should have waited longer to tell Nick (or anyone) about Tai’s idol, but now Nick knows and he could use that against them in the long run.
Fortunately, Scot kept his mouth shut about Jason’s idol, but that’s probably because Jason was standing right there.
Key Moment #3: Neal being medically evacuated
As sad as it was to see Neal be taken out of the game due to an infection on his thigh, it saved Scot’s game. While it seemed like Nick and Michele were going to vote with the brawn tribe, Neal very easily could have gotten wind of the plan, given his idol to Aubry, and one of the brawn members would be going home.

The bigger storyline of Neal leaving is that he didn’t slip the hidden immunity idol to Aubry or to anyone else, so there’s one less idol in the game now. Jason and Tai have the only two idols, and when paired together, the idol this season can form a “Super Idol”, which can be played after the votes are read.
This could come in handy and could very easily save Scot’s game later on down the road.
Scot Pollard has been fun to watch on Survivor Kaoh Rong, but he and closest ally Jason are beginning to get extremely cocky.
It’s funny to see two guys who lost three of the first four immunity challenges so cocky, but that’s just what they are. The two were rattling off plans to everyone they thought was on board with them, which is going to bite both of them in the butt eventually.

Michele made a point when she was talking Nick about which side to go with though, and that was that neither of those guys will likely win in the end. Michele said that Jason has pissed too many people off and that Scot doesn’t need the money due to his NBA days where he made more than enough money.
This could end up helping Scot Pollard’s Survivor game, but we’ll have to wait and see.
