KU Basketball: Watch Jayhawks Vs Baylor in Big 12 Tourney
By Scott Dillon
The KU basketball team is one win away from heading to the Big 12 Tournament championship game. Know where to catch the KU basketball live stream.
The KU basketball team will face the Baylor Bears later tonight for the third time this season. They’ve already bested them twice, but will need to stay focused on the game at hand to beat them a third time. They say it’s hard to beat a team three times in the same season, but not everyone agrees with that statement.
In the first meeting between these two teams back on January 2nd, the Jayhawks rolled the Bears on their way to a 102-74 victory. Wayne Selden Jr was the key player for the KU basketball team on that day. He tied a career high with five three-pointers in that game and finished his day with 24 total points.
The team shot lights out across the board that game especially from beyond the arc as they went 11-19. That’s a 58% shooting percentage from three-point range.
When the teams matched up for the second time on February 23rd, things didn’t come quite as easily for the Jayhawks. This time, Selden Jr was one of the players who couldn’t get his act together. According to ESPN, he had Bill Self all over him at halftime and Self was quoted saying:
"“I got on them hard at halftime, probably too hard,”"
Selden would go on to play a key role in that game as he scored four of his six total points in the final two minutes of play. That victory was good enough for a seventh straight win over the Baylor Bears.

The Baylor Bears haven’t won a game in 14 trips to Lawrence, and while this game isn’t in Kansas, it should still be considered a home game for the Jayhawks. They’ll have plenty of faithful fans cheering them on, and the energy level should help them overpower the Baylor Bears.
They can’t get caught in the trap of looking ahead to the next game. They need to win tonight first to play in the championship game tomorrow night. If they win tonight, they will face the winner of West Virginia and Oklahoma.
Oklahoma and Kansas already played one of the most intense college basketball games ever earlier in the season, and it would be fun to see them square off again for the Championship.
