KC Royals news fixates on spring training and all of the storylines surrounding it.

Despite NFL free agency filling most sports timelines, the Kansas City Royals are still in the midst of spring training. Spring training games don’t necessarily mean much, especially the final score, but they do answer a lot of questions for MLB teams.

Spring training is the time to decide who makes the final roster and who heads to the minors, and where at in the minors. It’s a big time for teams, and the Royals are no exception to that.

The biggest storylines this spring training for the KC Royals consist of starting pitching, right field, and the battle at second base. Starting pitching has two spots likely open for the taking, right field is currently Paulo Orlando’s job to lose due to Jarrod Dyson’s injury, and second base is still ongoing between Christian Colon and Omar Infante.

These are the type of situations that make spring training so important. The Kansas City Royals can use these exhibition games to figure out who the best man is for the job.
