Survivor Kaoh Rong: 3 Key Scot Pollard Moments Week Two
The second episode of Survivor Kaoh Rong aired on Wednesday night, and former KU basketball star Scot Pollard survived another vote.
It’s been a rough go for the brawn tribe so far on this season of Survivor, as they’ve now lost both immunity challenges and had to attend two straight tribal councils. While episode one saw Scot getting a significant amount of airtime, this episode didn’t give him as much airtime.
The brawn tribe did indeed lose the immunity challenge again, and it meant they’d be headed to their second tribal council in only six days. There have been some pretty bad tribes on Survivor, and if this brawn tribe doesn’t get its act together, it could be in that category.
Basically, the tribe seemed deadset on voting out Alecia, the obvious weakest member of the tribe. Jennifer shot herself in the foot, however, by trying to form an all-girls alliance to take out Jason. She mentioned this to both Alecia and Cydney, but seemed to waiver between her options right before tribal council.
When Jeff Probst began to ask questions at tribal, Jennifer admitted that she was having other thoughts as to who to target. That opened up Scot and Jason completely hounding her, and when Jennifer tried to throw Alecia under the bus, it just further dug her own grave.

Jennifer shockingly went home in a 3-2 vote, and somehow Alecia is still in the game.
With the brawn tribe already down in numbers less than a week into the game, what has Scot Pollard done to solidify his place in the game? Here are his three key moments from episode 2.
Key Moment #1: Telling Alecia that she could trust him
This became a bigger thing after the vote happened, as Alecia could now become a valuable third piece to Scot and Jason’s alliance. While it’s unlikely that the team would keep Alecia over Cydney should they lose again, she could prove valuable later down the road if there’s a switch nearing.
Key Moment #2: Asking Jennifer if they were still cool
Shortly before tribal council, Jason began to get uneasy about the vote. Scot approached Jennifer to double check that the vote was still Alecia. While Jennifer said everything was a go, Scot had no idea that she had been aligning with the other girls.
Jennifer seemed to have had a change of heart before the tribe headed to vote because she said blindsiding Jason would be blindsiding Scot, and she trusted Scot. This could have been a big move for Scot because had he not asked, his closest ally in the game could have been going home.
Key Moment #3: Voting for Alecia
Jennifer ended up voting for Alecia, but the only other person who did was Scot Pollard. Scot was on the losing end of the vote, and while that usually would mean he’s on the outs, I don’t think it really applies here too much.

Jason was voting her out because she was gunning for him, and Cydney probably thought it was the best way to go. Scot likely wanted to keep the tribe strong by keeping Jennifer and voting out Alecia.
Still though. You never want to be on the outside of a vote, especially when you’re tribe is down to four, you were one of the two to vote the wrong way, and the other one of the two just left the game.
We’re only two episodes into Survivor: Kaoh Rong, but the brawn tribe is already down two members. Maybe a switch will be coming soon, but I doubt it. This tribe has to win the next challenge, or else it’s all downhill from this point on.
