While it isn’t always sunshine and rainbows being a Kansas City Chiefs fan, the team has provided its fans with some pretty spectacular seasons.

The main thing holding the Chiefs back for the past 20 something years was their inability to win a playoff game. With that monkey finally off the back of the organization, it’s time for the 2016 Chiefs to knock the 1969 Chiefs from the top of this list.

That’s the only way the 1969 team will be removed from the top is if another Chiefs team can win the Super Bowl. Otherwise, the 1969 team isn’t going anywhere. They not only had some of the best players in franchise history on their roster, but they also won the freakin’ Super Bowl.

Some close calls for this list include 1971, 1986, 1991, 1992, 1994, 2006, and 2010. These seasons all saw the Chiefs reaching the playoffs, but didn’t have what it takes to crack the top ten best seasons of all-time.

It was a little tough ranking these games without thinking of the final result. I tried to rank it by how well the team did in the regular season and if they were able to win the AFC West or not.
