It’s clear that Glass is willing to spend money now that he has a winning team, and he and DM are embracing this two-year window with open arms. What happens after, I really don’t know.
The Kansas City Royals will likely have a complete rebuild on our hands – spending $142 million on Gordon and Kennedy makes me think there’s not much left over for the homegrown boys.
Hosmer will go for big bucks (I don’t know if it’s worth it anyway), the two-year deal for Cain likely means he’s not going to be extended, and who knows how Moose is even going to perform after his 2015 resurgence?
