This season hasn’t been great, but Mizzou has the potential to be a good team.

At this point, winning the SEC East seems slim, but Mizzou can still be playing for a decent bowl game come the end of the season. Obviously the quarterback situation hasn’t been a fun one to deal with, but if Maty Mauk gets put back out onto the field and plays well, then maybe that’s all this team needs.

It’s tough for any offense to play well when the offensive line can’t block, the star running back isn’t healthy, and there isn’t a reliable wide receiver to throw to. Like I said earlier, it’s hard for any quarterback to shine if there’s no one getting open down the field.

Mizzou had two good seasons in 2013 and 2014 and we all had a right to be excited and expect a lot from this group. A third SEC East title would have been terrific, but hey… Florida has been playing better this year and even Tennessee and Kentucky have looked good.

Let’s just hope Mizzou can get some sort of rhythm going on offense for the last stretch of the season.
