KC Chiefs: Five Possible Running Back Candidates

As mentioned earlier, it appears as of now that the Kansas City Chiefs are going to roll with Knile Davis, Charcandrick West, and newly promoted Spencer Ware.
It’s hard to be optimistic about the Chiefs’ chances as the season progresses due to Jamaal Charles being unavailable. Charles is the heart of the Chiefs’ offense and without him, Alex Smith is going to be forced to throw the ball more, which isn’t his strong point.

Davis has filled in nicely for Charles in the past, but we’ll have to see if he can handle the starting workload for more than just one game. In his two full years in the league, Davis has only started two games. He’s had 11 rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown.
We don’t know much about Charcandrick West. He’s had 12 carries for 48 yards so far in five games this season. The Chiefs went with West this off-season over Cyrus Gray, whom the team had had on their roster since 2012.
This has been a stressful start to the season for the Kansas City Chiefs, who sit at 1-4 and are in the cellar in the AFC West. Hopefully whoever they roll with at running back can spark something with the offense. If not, it could be a long NFL season in Kansas City.
