Here are the raw numbers for Otis Taylor, in terms of team wide receiver ranks:

Yards — First

Touchdowns  — First

Yards per receptions — Second*

Receptions — Fourth

It’s pretty hard to argue Taylor wasn’t the best (or at the very least, most productive) Chiefs’ wide receiver of all time. The fact the Chiefs were successful during his tenure is another feather in his cap.

During Taylor’s 10 seasons, the Chiefs went to the playoffs four times, were 4-3 in those games and won the team’s only Super Bowl. Not to mention, he did all of this when teams played only 14 games in the regular season, as opposed to the 16 in today’s game.

If you needed any more evidence, you can look to the team itself. To this day, Taylor is the only wide receiver in the Chiefs’ Hall of Fame. Bowe could find himself there one day, but for now, Taylor is king of the KC WRs.

Hey may not be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame (although the argument could be made he should be), but Taylor always will go down as one of the greatest offensive players in Chiefs’ history.

Taylor’s Career Numbers as a Chief

Seasons — 11

Receptions — 410

Yards — 7,306

Touchdowns — 57

YPC — 17.8

Just missed the cut:

Stephone Paige — 377 receptions; 6,341; 49 touchdowns

Eddie Kennison — 321 receptions; 5,230 yards; 25 touchdowns
