2015 NFL Draft: KC Chiefs Draft For Need
Mandatory Credit: Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports
Round 7, Pick 16
Dean Marlowe is another project pick for the Chiefs. He is a mostly unknown player, but was a four year starter for James Madison University. He had 11 interceptions in his college career.
Marlowe stands 6’1″ tall and 203 lbs. He has proven to be a solid run support safety and has shown to be exceptional playing close to the line of scrimmage.
The 4.58 40 yard dash ran by Marlowe at the NFL Combine is a little underwhelming, but he should be able to contribute on the special team’s coverage squad.

Final Thoughts
I was very satisfied with my first three picks, all three of which I would expect to be starting in some form week one. Perryman would be the only one in the top three that could potentially take a few weeks to work his way into the starting line up.
I was disappointed that I was only able to draft one offensive lineman. I really wanted a guard and would have taken a center as well if the board fell right. There was just nobody that I could justify taking on my picks. La’el Collins was a big pick for me though.
I have not been shy about drafting a quarterback in the first round of my previous mock drafts, taking Jameis Winston in my first, and Marcus Mariota in my second, but neither of those players were available in this draft. If they were I wouldn’t hesitate to select them.
