Why Rashee Rice Will Get 100+ Yards vs. Raiders in Week 16

It was just under one month ago that I wrote Rashee Rice would have his first big breakout game against the Raiders, and I'm here to say he'll be even better this time around.
He caught eight passes for 107 yards and a TD that day and never looked back. Rice has been one of the NFL's best wide receivers period in that stretch, receiving at least nine targets in four straight games with 334 yards and three TDs.
The Chiefs' star rookie is just getting started.

Rice has officially taken over the Chiefs' offense. He's been the most targeted player across the field and in the red zone over the last month, putting up spectacular numbers with regularity.
The Chiefs are making a conscious effort to get Rice involved. If you've been watching and thinking that it feels like he's the first read on a lot of passing plays, you're right.

That is absolutely ridiculous. I LOVE IT. KC is feeding their budding star rookie WR and he is balling out.
When you throw on the tape, you see that. Whether he's the first read down the field or the target on a bubble screen, Rice is now the most important receiver in Kansas City's passing attack.
With Travis Kelce commanding so much defensive attention, the Chiefs desperately needed someone to step up.
Rice has. That means he's in for a big game once again this week, in large part due to the Raiders' defensive schemes. They run zone coverage at the eighth-highest rate in the league, per Pro Football Focus. That's a problem against a player like Rice, who has eaten zone coverage all year long.
This is the same logic I used last month when Rice blew up. It's going to happen again and this will be the rare case in which the sequel is better than the original.
