Patrick Mahomes Expresses Confidence in KC Chiefs Receivers Despite Dropped Passes
By Joe Summers
Dropped passes have plagued the Chiefs all season, but two-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes still has confidence in the group.
Despite costly drops from Travis Kelce and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mahomes had the Chiefs in position to beat the Eagles before coming up just short.
In post-game comments with the media, Mahomes assured those listening that this loss was not the receivers' fault.

"They know I'm going to keep firing it," Mahomes told reporters after the 21-17 loss. "That's just who I am. I'm going to fire it to the guy that's open...usually, they're going to make the plays."
He continued by taking responsibility for his interception, saying he didn't throw a proper ball to Justin Watson in the red zone. "There was a lot of stuff that happened throughout the game," Mahomes said. "You just got to keep firing."
Mahomes' final stat line was ugly. He completed just 24 of 43 passes for 177 yards. The 4.1 yards per attempt was the lowest mark of Mahomes' career.
Kansas City takes on Las Vegas in NFL Week 12. Fingers crossed the Chiefs' receivers catch some passes.
