Chiefs vs. Raiders Week 12 Opening Odds Expect Dominant Performance from Kansas City
By Joe Summers
The Super Bowl rematch did not go as planned and now the Chiefs turn their attention to the Raiders on Sunday afternoon in Week 12.
Las Vegas fell to Miami last week but has covered the spread in three straight games, in large part due to an excellent defense that's allowed 20 or fewer points in each game.
Oddsmakers released opening odds for the AFC West showdown and forecast a dominant effort from the Chiefs.
Let's look at what oddsmakers have to say about the game.
Chiefs vs. Raiders Week 12 Opening Odds
The Chiefs are 9.5-point favorites and -450 on the moneyline, with the total set at 44.
Despite the loss to Philadelphia, Kansas City is still 6-3 against the spread (ATS) in its last nine games. Six consecutive Chiefs games have gone under the total, while the under is 8-1 in the Raiders' previous nine.
Thus, we can expect a low-scoring game. Kansas City put up 31+ points in each of the last seven matchups between these teams, so a low-scoring game would flip the script a bit.
It's worth noting that Vegas has been much more impressive at home, covering in four straight. The Chiefs are 2-2 ATS on the road this year, though given Kansas City's dominance in this rivalry, I'm feeling confident.
