Patrick Mahomes' Dad Explains Son's Outburst at Referees After Bills Loss
By Joe Summers
The Chiefs' loss to the Bills in the regular season was infamous for many reasons, among them the Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid outbursts directed towards the referees after an offsides call ruined perhaps the greatest TD in NFL history.
Mahomes' dad appeared on a Starcade Media podcast and took responsibility for Mahomes' frustration, admitting his advice could have led to his son's actions.
See what he had to say below.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. told Starcade that he let Patrick II know he should tell his teammates that making plays would help get the team on track.
He says that after the referees called the magical TD from Travis Kelce to Kadarius Toney back, Mahomes "goes into that mode where he doesn't know what he's saying or what he's doing" and it was the "rare occasion where it just kind of all exploded at one time."
We've all been there and the explanation makes complete sense. No matter who is at fault, I think the fanbase agreed with Mahomes that the Chiefs were robbed.
In any case, we've got a chance at revenge on Sunday night in Buffalo. The Chiefs are favored in the marquee matchup of the weekend and I can't wait to see how Patrick II gets justice on a banged-up Bills defense.
