Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are both unhappy with the referees in the Chiefs' heartbreaking loss to the Bills in Week 14.
We all know about the referees' poor performance last week, and now an offsides call on Kadarius Toney wiped out a potential game-winning TD off a lateral from Travis Kelce.
See the play below before Mahomes' and Reid's comments.

This would have given the Chiefs the lead with under 90 seconds to play, a likely win given how well Kansas City's defense has played overall. Nonetheless, it was an incredible play.
Referees, on the other hand, called the play back as Kadarius Toney was offsides. Patrick Mahomes was furious immediately after the game and his frustration continued into post-game comments.
Patrick Mahomes on the final drive: "It’s tough to swallow. Not only from me, and football in general, to take away greatness like that, for a guy like Travis to make a play like that, you want to see the guys on the field decide the game. They’re human. They make mistakes. But…

This is the most outward criticism we've heard from Mahomes about officiating. It's been a continued problem this season, with poor decisions from referees consistently impacting Chiefs games in a variety of ways, both in and against the Chiefs' favor.
Mahomes isn't the only one upset. Andy Reid made his feelings known as well, calling the offsides call "a bit embarrassing" for the league.

A bit embarrassing for the National Football League for that to take place”
Reid and Mahomes seem to have a point. If a referee planned to call offsides, it makes sense to warn Toney or at least someone first. Receivers typically check when they line up anyway, so it's common practice to give a warning.
Regardless, this is a tough loss to swallow and it's clearly a disappointing one for the Chiefs' biggest stars.
