Kansas City's loss to Green Bay on Sunday Night Football was disappointing for many reasons, though the referees' general incompetence was infuriating to watch.

The Chiefs did not play well. They deserved to lose. However, it was impossible to ignore the horrific officiating and the outsized impact it had on the final result.

There are several examples of terrible calls, though let's look at the three worst ones of the night.

3 Terrible Calls from Refs in Chiefs vs. Packers

1. Marquez Valdes-Scantling Pass Interference

What are we doing here?

This is disgraceful, especially given the situation. With the Chiefs driving and 19 seconds left, Patrick Mahomes uncorked a beautiful deep ball to Valdes-Scantling. You know what happened next.

Some poor calls deserve the benefit of the doubt. Refereeing an NFL game is a tough job and you have to make snap judgements. Mistakes happen sometimes.

That's definitively NOT what happened here. It was extraordinarily obvious in real time, and that the referees did not throw a flag is a fireable offense. If you can't get that call right, how can I trust you to correctly make any call on the field?

Kansas City may have still ultimately lost the game, but this would have given Mahomes the ball inside the 10. I tend to like our chances there. At the very least, we should have been given the opportunity.
