The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0 after the first month of the season. Despite being undefeated, the vibes aren't high in Kansas City.

The Chiefs have dealt with constant injuries and the latest one was Rashee Rice, who left the Week 4 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers after Patrick Mahomes dove into his leg. The team is still awaiting more tests before they officially diagnose him.

The Chiefs are the defending champions and know how to win. But there are some things that have taken a step back and the pass defense is one of them.

After four games, Kansas City ranks 23rd in the NFL in pass defense (227.8) with five passing touchdowns allowed. The pass coverage has taken a dip, as they were fourth in the NFL in pass defense (176.5) in 2023. It was revealed that the Chiefs wouldn't be able to acquire a star they sent out this offseason.

Chiefs News: Kansas City Wouldn’t Be Able to Trade for L’Jarius Sneed

On Monday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed that teams can't trade a player and then reacquire him via trade until two years have passed.

The reason he stated this was due to Hasson Reddick's holdout with the New York Jets and the rumors that the Philadelphia Eagles wanted to re-acquire him. Well that won't be possible and the same rules apply to the Chiefs regarding cornerback L'Jarius Sneed.

Although there have been no rumors or discussions that Kansas City wanted to do that, they wouldn't be able even if they did.

Back in March, Kansas City sent Sneed to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick and a swap of 2024 seventh-rounders. Shortly after that, Sneed and the Titans agreed to terms on a four-year, $76.4 million extension with $55 million guaranteed.

As I stated earlier, there have been no discussions on a reunion but if there were, it wouldn't go anywhere.
