The Las Vegas Raiders are suddenly crumbling right before our eyes thanks to a bizarre scenario unfolding with All-Pro WR Davante Adams.

Head coach Antonio Pierce "liked" an Instagram post from Sports Illustrated's Michael Fabiano suggesting that Adams may have played his final down with the team. Aside from how foolish Pierce's action was, Adams and the Raiders are now dealing with a firestorm.

Las Vegas is reportedly reaching out to clubs to gauge interest, and it looks like the Raiders may soon be without their best offensive player. The two teams play on October 27, though Adams might not be there by then.

Raiders Reportedly Preparing to Trade WR Davante Adams

Adding to the embarrassment, the superstar appeared on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams and said that "there's been no communication with anybody from the team."

Kay asked the simple question of how quickly Pierce reached out to him, to which Davante responded that he hasn't yet. Her bewilderment at his answer speaks volumes. What kind of coach doesn't reach out to their star player after something like this happens? What kind of coach "likes" that Instagram post in the first place?

It's a mess over in Las Vegas. For a 3-2 football team that theoretically has postseason aspirations, things could unravel quickly in the locker room. Davante is a respected leader and still one of the league's biggest difference-makers. He has 209 receiving yards so far this year. While he's not the game-wrecker he once was, this is still a three-time First-Team All-Pro with six Pro Bowl nods to his name.

While the Chiefs are dealing with their own issues at receiver, at least it's not because they treat players poorly. Adams will likely be on his way out and the Raiders will be much worse because of it.
