By Joe Summers
The Kansas City police department announced Friday afternoon that two juveniles have been charged in connection to the mass shooting at the Chiefs' Super Bowl parade that resulted in nearly two dozen injuries and the death of Johnson County's Lisa Lopez-Galvan.
Identities of the individuals charged have not been released, and it's notable the two were charged on gun-related charges and resisting arrest, allowing the police department more time to build a case for further charges.

The two juveniles were charged on Thursday, and the prosecutor's office signaled intention to certify the individuals as adults.
Given the individuals are juveniles, limited information is available and the hearings will not be open to the public unless the prosecutor's office is successful in classifying them as adults.
We'll keep you updated with more information as it becomes available. In the meantime, a GoFundMe has been established to support the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a beloved figure in the community who also had other family members injured during the attack.
A third individual, an adult, was also detained but ultimately released following the preliminary investigation.
