It's been a rough Friday for Chiefs fans after the news that WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown would go on the IR list and potentially miss the season. Some fans are already comparing the speedster to former Chief Kadarius Toney, noting the similarities between their respective injury histories.

Brown's heartwarming social media post only adds to the disappointment, and now Kansas City might be scrambling at the receiver position once again.

While the two are obviously different players, it's hard not to wonder if the Chiefs will get unlucky after acquiring another former first-round wideout.

Chiefs Fans Are Scared About Kadarius Toney-Hollywood Brown Comparisons

Toney is now on the Cleveland Browns and is already dealing with an injury. His frequent ailments bring Brown's status into question, as he's dealt with multiple injuries during his career already.

One loyal KCKingdom FaceBook reader already called Brown "KT2" in a nod to the ex-Chief whose inconsistency forced the organization to go in a different direction. Brown has a much better pedigree and is a proven weapon with dramatically more production, yet it's still a concerning notion for fans to consider nonetheless.

If Brown misses the whole year or even most of it, it'll be hard for him to develop the chemistry he needs to with Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the offense. He has immense potential in this scheme, but won't reach that ceiling unless he can get back on the field.

There's also the worry about his contract status moving forward. Brown is a pending free agent after signing a one-year deal, so he won't get the payday he desires unless he can rebuild his value.

Brown isn't Toney yet. Even still, fans are justifiably concerned that injuries will plague him for the rest of his time in Kansas City.
