The Chiefs might suddenly be back in the wide receiver market following the stunning news that Hollywood Brown could miss the entire season after being placed on the injured reserve list.

There's some optimism that he could return in the second half of the season, but Kansas City needs to operate as if Brown won't be back. The offense that we saw in a Week 1 win over the Baltimore Ravens will be the offense moving forward, so it's time to consider reinforcements.

Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Justin Watson are the top receivers moving forward, though Travis Kelce obviously plays a huge role in the passing game as well. Even still, the Chiefs need to target these players to bolster the position.

5 WRs Chiefs Must Target

1. Elijah Moore - Cleveland Browns

A second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Elijah Moore entered the league with immense potential but hasn't reached his ceiling. He's buried on the Browns' depth chart despite their issues at receiver, making it possible that Brett Veach could acquire him at minimal cost.

He caught only three of six targets in Week 1 for just nine yards, though a lot of Cleveland's passing issues can be attributed to Deshaun Watson's immense struggles. Moore is a talented separator with good hands and an impressive highlight reel. Perhaps a change of scenery is all he needs to become a valuable player in the NFL.

Moore has had a drop rate under 5% every year of his career. 2023 was his most productive season, catching 59 passes for 640 yards and a pair of TDs. A majority of that production came with Joe Flacco under center, indicating Moore can be a weapon if he has moderately competent QB play.

He won't get that in Cleveland, and it looks like he won't get significant opportunities moving forward either. If Veach can get Moore for a conditional pick swap or underwhelming player, it's at least worth having the conversation about.
