The Kansas Jayhawks basketball team added its final Infinity Stone to its Thanos gauntlet, putting an exclamation mark on its spectacular offseason when star big man Hunter Dickinson announced he's returning to Lawrence for one more year.

While it sounded like Dickinson would come back, especially after K.J. Adams and Dajuan Harris both announced they were returning, nothing was finalized until Friday morning.

With one of the country's best transfer portal classes coming in as well, Bill Self's squad is fully loaded and ready to compete for a national championship.

Dickinson averaged 17.9 points and 10.9 rebounds per game for Kansas this year, earning Second-Team All-American and First-Team All-Big 12 honors for his efforts. The Jayhawks suffered disappointment to end the year, though injuries were as much to blame as anything.

Now, Dickinson is coming back to complete unfinished business and hopefully pull of a Final Four run. Kansas fell to Gonzaga in the second round of the NCAA Tournament but should be a top-five team entering the 2024-25 season.

AJ Storr, Zeke Mayo, Riley Kugel, and Rylan Griffen are all transferring to the Jayhawks to join an established group capable of a deep postseason run. With Dickinson in the fold, the sky's the limit for Self's group.

Five-star recruit Flory Bidunga will join the program as well, giving Self perhaps the deepest roster he's had in years. It's a good day to be a Jayhawk and things should only improve moving forward.
