It looks like Chris Jones' recruiting efforts paid off.
Carrington Harrison of 610 Sports Radio is reporting that Frank Clark is undergoing a physical on Thursday with the Kansas City Chiefs, paving the way for him to reunite with the franchise.
With Charles Omenihu due to return this week from suspension, Kansas City's elite defense suddenly looks even stronger.
Frank Clark Undergoing Physical with Chiefs
Frank Clark's mutual interest with the Chiefs was no secret. He's called Andy Reid a father figure in the past and this development just brings us one step closer to what many around the league believed was an inevitability.
The man nicknamed "The Shark" is Kansas City's all-time leader in postseason sacks and currently sits just 2.5 sacks behind Willie McGinest for the NFL record.
Given the Chiefs' strong start to the season, a reunion both gives Clark the best chance to break that record and the organization the best chance to bring home a second consecutive Lombardi Trophy.
Harrison said on air that he believes Clark will soon sign a contract to rejoin the Chiefs and every piece of news we've received thus far supports that stance. Looking ahead to the playoffs, Kansas City should have a much more complete team than the one it currently fields.
