First Look at Xavier Worthy in Chiefs Helmet Surfaces
By Joe Summers
Both the Chiefs and Xavier Worthy are fired up for the rookie's upcoming season after Kansas City traded up in the first round to draft the Texas speedster. Now, we've got our first look at Worthy in a Chiefs helmet and gloves.
In a video posted to social media on X.com, Worthy gets to experience the magic of Chiefs red. Given the high expectations the coaching staff has for him, it's an exciting moment for all involved.

The former Longhorn star will wear jersey #1, though we haven't yet seen him fully in uniform yet.
Worthy had 2,755 career receiving yards in three seasons in Texas and notably set the NFL Combine record in the 40-yard dash (4.21 seconds). He'll make a big impact on the offense and even Patrick Mahomes himself has already expressed adoration for the draft pick.
It's easy to imagine Worthy blazing past defenses for long TDs, or stretching the field so Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice can work underneath. He's the kind of player who gives everyone else on the offense more space, since defenses have to worry about his uncanny speed.
The Chiefs have lacked that true reliable downfield threat since Tyreek Hill was traded. They may have found their new version of Hill and Desean Jackson in Worthy, and I'm optimistic he'll deliver on his great promise.
For now, we can just enjoy how sweet that helmet looks on him.
