There's been significant debate about the end of the Chiefs' wide receiver room entering the final preseason game before the 2024 regular season.

Justyn Ross, Skyy Moore, Nikko Remigio, and Kadarius Toney have been in an intense battle for the final two spots in the rotation. Ahead of Thursday night's preseason finale, Kansas City's planned rotation sheds light into the organization's plans.

While Ross, Remigio, and Toney will all suit up against the Bears, Moore will not. After comments this week from special teams coordinator Dave Toub that he'd be "pounding the table" for Remigio to make it while not mentioning Moore, it's a surprise, to say the least.

Skyy Moore Looks Like a Chiefs Roster Lock After Preseason Week 3

Take a quick look down that list of players not suiting up and you'll see a common thread: they're all locks to make the 53-man roster.

Patrick Mahomes, Carson Wentz, Isiah Pacheco, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Rashee Rice, etc., all have nothing to worry about. The lone name that sticks out is Moore's. Toub has seemingly preferred that Remigio makes the team and not Moore, but the long-time special teams guru may have been overruled.

"Always" may feel like an aggressive statement, yet it's hard to argue against it given this lineup. Ross seemingly has the upper hand on Toney and Remigio, though training camp rotations gave the indication that he was ahead of Moore, so it's still up in the air.

Given the phrasing of Adam Teicher's post and his well-respected status as ESPN's beat reporter for the team, Chiefs Kingdom should now feel confident that Moore is on the final roster.

Whether or not you agree with the decision doesn't ultimately matter, and any Chiefs fan knows this will be the hottest water-cooler topic on Friday either way.
