Chiefs WR Nikko Remigio is one of the most interesting Chiefs to watch in the final preseason game, with an opportunity to poach a roster spot from someone like 2022 second-round wideout Skyy Moore.

Matt Nagy sang Remigio's praises this summer and he's impressed the coaching staff overall since being signed as an undrafted rookie last year.

To that point, special teams coordinator Dave Toub has joined the chorus in echoing such praise, declaring he'd be "pounding the table" for the second-year receiver to make the team.

Dave Toub Joins Matt Nagy in Praising WR Nikko Remigio

The Chiefs' wide receiver rotation is complicated. Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, Justin Watson, and Mecole Hardman should be on the roster. Justyn Ross has made a compelling case and been ahead during training camp, leaving one potential spot for Remigio or Moore.

Those two have battled on special teams throughout training camp, and Toub's comments certainly indicate that Remigio is ahead.

Whether or not Andy Reid and Brett Veach agree with Toub's assessment remains to be seen. However, it seems that Remigio has the inside track to make the roster despite an underwhelming couple of preseason games.

Thursday night's final preseason game should tell us a lot. If Remigio dominates the snaps and earns special teams work, it'll confirm the previous two weeks and the coaching staff's comments. Moore faces an uphill battle to make the roster, though his second-round pedigree could make him a more likely candidate to make the team given waivers.

This is the most important preseason battle remaining, so keep a close eye on news surrounding the two and we'll continue to keep you updated.
