Chiefs WR Rashee Rice's seemingly devastating knee injury is the biggest topic on everyone's minds on Monday morning. We're awaiting the test results, but the team is fearing the worst and that he'll be out for the rest of the season.

While fans are deeply sad, Rice's teammates are heartbroken too. QB Patrick Mahomes expressed his concern after the game, while DE Charles Omenihu took to social media to share his feelings.

Omenihu, of course, is still rehabbing from the torn ACL he suffered during last year's AFC Championship Game. He's expected back soon, but he knows first-hand the long road ahead for his young teammate.

Those feelings are echoed throughout the locker room and organization at large. Rice is a beloved teammate who actually served as the offensive captain against the Chargers. He was becoming a true leader on the roster, making the news all the more sad.

This is still a team with Super Bowl aspirations and the favorites to win it all, yet the path is significantly more difficult without Rice. His teammates know that, recognizing that they'll all have to step up to fill the void.

For Omenihu's part, we could see him back on the field as soon as Week 7 after the bye. The Chiefs take on the 49ers, but it sounds more likely that he'll return closer to Thanksgiving.

Either way, he'll be a voice that Rice can lean on during his recovery process. Omenihu has been through the grueling rehab and can offer advice and guidance to the second-year player.

We'll all sick about the news. However, Omenihu's presence can be a small blessing as Rice faces this new challenge.
