3. WR Adonai Mitchell, Texas

Adonai Mitchell is one of the more intriguing prospects to watch later this month. The Texas product is one of the best wideouts in the class, however, draft experts are unsure of when he'll hear his name called. Some mocks have him going in the early 20s while others have him on the board until the end of the first round.

If the latter situation occurs, you can bet that the Chiefs will be thrilled.

After all, Kansas City could use another game-changing wide receiver. Yes, they added Marquise Hollywood Brown via free agency, but that doesn't change how the rest of the WR room has some major question marks — especially now that Rashee Rice's future is up in the air due to legal issues.

Drafting Mitchell would be one way to solve that problem. The 21-year-old playmaker's long season with the Longhorns showed exactly what he was capable of as he turned 55 catches into 845 yards and 11 touchdowns before being named the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze are largely seen as this year's top WR prospects. The order beyond that trio is as good as anyone's guess, so it isn't unfathomable to imagine Mitchell still being on the board when the Chiefs must make their first selection. The fact that he only has one productive campaign in three years could also be another reason why teams let him slide.

Mahomes is poised to be the best QB on the planet (again) and the sky would be the limit if he has Mitchell at his disposal this fall.
