The Chiefs have been active in free agency, notably bringing in WR Hollywood Brown to add a speed element to the offense while re-signing several key veterans in an attempt to snag a third straight Super Bowl.
That said, Kansas City still has cap room to work with after the L'Jarius Sneed trade and there are plenty of quality free agents still available.
With the NFL Draft coming up next month, it'd be wise for the Chiefs to finalize most of their free agency moves in the coming weeks. Kansas City has +650 odds to win the Super Bowl, though another shrewd move or two could push the organization over the top.
Let's look at three former Pro Bowlers the organization should sign before the draft.
3 Former Pro Bowlers the Chiefs Should Sign
1. Xavien Howard - CB
The former second-round pick and Miami Dolphins star is the best remaining cornerback on the market. Not only could he serve as a logical L'Jarius Sneed replacement, but he'd immediately bolster Kansas City's secondary at a relative discount compared to Sneed's massive deal.
Xavien Howard has already been tied to the Chiefs as an ideal fit and could help mentor the Chiefs' younger cornerbacks like Joshua Williams, Jaylen Watson and Nazeeh Johnson. The two-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler would be an excellent addition, easing any concerns that Kansas City's secondary would struggle without Sneed.
Sad but unsurprising day as we learned my favorite Dolphin this side of Dan Marino will be cut. I'll never forget Xavien Howard's 30-game stretch from W3 in 2021 to the end of the 2022 season:

He's on the wrong side of 30 and struggled in 2023, but Howard still has a track record of success and could flourish in Steve Spagnuolo's scheme.
A big question for the Chiefs this season centers around how Trent McDuffie will handle potential shadow duties. While I have the utmost confidence in McDuffie, having a proven veteran like Howard would make everyone's lives easier.
The Chiefs secured McDuffie's services using draft capital from the Tyreek Hill trade, could they solidify the cornerback room using the Dolphins yet again?
