It isn't a secret that the Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the AFC for nearly a decade. Patrick Mahomes & Co.'s consistent success has been bad news for other AFC teams hoping to compete for a Super Bowl, including the Buffalo Bills, who've been eliminated by the Chiefs in four of the last five NFL postseasons.
Being like a little brother to the Chiefs must be frustrating, which is why the Bills are always doing whatever it takes to stay relevant compared to Andy Reid's team. That includes Buffalo's current pursuit of a veteran defender who hasn't had a good performance in a long time.
Chiefs News: Bills Set to Meet With Free Agent CB James Bradberry
The Bills finished the 2024 NFL season with the second-worst coverage grade (37.7) on Pro Football Focus. In an attempt to improve the secondary, Buffalo will be hosting free-agent cornerback James Bradberry on Wednesday.
"Bradberry has ties to Buffalo GM Brandon Beane and HC Sean McDermott, who were with Carolina when the Panthers drafted him in 2016," ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler reported.

Bradberry has ties to Buffalo GM Brandon Beane and HC Sean McDermott, who were with Carolina when the Panthers drafted him in 2016.
Bradberry, 31, spent the last three years with the Philadelphia Eagles after playing his first six seasons with the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants. The former 2016 second-round selection hit the open market last month when the Eagles released him before the start of free agency.
On paper, Bradberry is an experienced veteran who's spent nearly a decade in the NFL. He's made 125 appearances (124 starts) for the three franchises he's played with, racking up 381 solo tackles, 112 broken-up passes, and 19 interceptions, as well as a Pro Bowl appearance and an All-Pro second-team nod.
Having said that, Bradberry hasn't been good for quite some time. It's been nearly five years since he was last on a Pro Bowl roster and almost three since his only AP2 appearance. Making matters worse, the former Arkansas State/Samford product hasn't played a snap since the 2023 campaign due to a torn Achilles he suffered last offseason.
Even if he completely recovers from his Achilles tear, it isn't as if Bradberry made much noise during his last healthy season. The Pleasant Grove, AL native finished the 2023 campaign with career-worst PFF grades when it came to coverage (52.0) and overall defense (54.4), meaning he likely won't turn the Bills' secondary around on his own.
Chiefs fans certainly won't mind if Buffalo ends up signing the regressing veteran cornerback. Mahomes will have the chance to expose Bradberry when the Chiefs face the Bills on the road next season, and a second matchup is possible if the AFC rivals' postseason trend continues.
As the Bills debate whether or not they should sign Bradberry, the Chiefs will keep marching toward the 2025 NFL draft with the fourth-best Super Bowl 60 odds (+850) on FanDuel Sportsbook.
