The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up the 2025 NFL Draft over the weekend and now it’s time to find out what they have. The Chiefs made seven selections in this year’s draft headlined by Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Simmons and will hope they have several players make an impact as they go for their third Super Bowl title in the past four seasons.
The first step is rookie minicamp where the newest Chiefs will get their first taste in the NFL. While the dates of the camp have been unknown, the Chiefs revealed when they’ll see their rookies on the field and it’s right around the corner.
NFL Reveals Dates for Chiefs Rookie Minicamp
The NFL announced the dates for every offseason program on Wednesday morning and the Chiefs will host tjeir rookie minicamp from May 3 to May 5. The minicamp is a continuation of the team’s offseason program, which began with voluntary workouts on April 21.
The Chiefs will continue to work as they meet for offseason team activities (OTAs) on May 27-29, June 2-4 and June 10-13. Kansas City will conclude the program when it conducts its mandatory minicamp from June 17-19.
Rookie minicamp is the next step in erasing the bad taste from last season. The Chiefs finished the season with a 15-2 record and won their third straight and fifth AFC championship in the past six seasons. But Kansas City came up short of the first three-peat in NFL history after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
The Chiefs used the draft to address their problems by taking Simmons in the first round and adding depth to their defensive line with interior defender Omarr Norman-Lott and defensive end Ashton Gillotte with their next two picks. Cornerback Nohl Williams rounded out Kansas City’s selections on Day 2 and the Chiefs added wide receiver Jalen Royals, linebacker Jeffrey Bassa and running back Brashard Smith on Day 3.
With undrafted free agents and minicamp invitees also taking part, next weekend could be an interesting one as the Chiefs kick their preparations for next season into high gear.
